Solution Engineer – EU Data Act & NIS2

We are currently looking for an experienced Solution Engineer for a strategic assignment within regulatory compliance, digital services, and cybersecurity. The assignment focuses on ensuring compliance with the EU Data Act (Direct Access) and the NIS2 Directive, while also contributing to the development of commercial strategies and business models for digital data services.

In this role, you will operate at the intersection of business, IT, legal, and security, with overall responsibility for driving requirements analysis, coordinating key stakeholders, and ensuring the delivery of critical legal and commercial decision material.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the legal and commercial workstream related to the EU Data Act.

• Support cybersecurity and enterprise architecture teams with analysis, documentation, and requirements related to NIS2.

• Ensure that commercial decisions such as pricing, terms, and business models are delivered in line with the overall project timeline.

• Analyze the impact of the EU Data Act on existing digital services and business models.

• Contribute to the development of a Commercial Data Services Strategy aligned with EU regulatory requirements.

• Analyze and define requirements for digital service ordering, provisioning, and billing flows.

• Collaborate closely with legal and compliance stakeholders to ensure regulatory alignment and timely delivery of contractual and legal artifacts.

• Present findings, recommendations, and decision material to senior management and key stakeholders.

• Support Digital Product Owners and Managers in assessing the impact of regulatory and security requirements on digital products.

• Monitor relevant initiatives at group and industry level and continuously update requirements and stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in requirements engineering, business analysis, and strategic planning.

• Hands-on experience working with Azure DevOps (or similar tools) for requirements and sprint planning.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Ability to collaborate effectively across business, IT, legal, and security functions.

• High attention to detail with a structured and delivery-focused mindset.

• Willingness and ability to quickly understand complex regulatory frameworks such as the EU Data Act and NIS2.
