Due to legacy and T3 demands, the SW documentation needs to be improved with a new way of handling parameters documentation, a new Parameter Matrix tool, a UX designer professional is needed to help us design a tool that is intuitive and easy to use. There are other solutions in the R&D modernization scope that would also benefit if an UX designer is dedicated 100% for the SW and diagnostics VSF flow domain, like the Dependix solution.

Consequences if an UX designer is not in place: complex logic to be implemented in the user interface, if the right competences are not employed, there is a high risk of additional time required from users to be trained, to accomplish tasks, and increased risk of introducing manual errors by users.

• Orchestrate all UX activities to drive the development of our digital solutions ensuring valuable, desirable and intuitive experiences.

• Mentor and guide product owners, scrum masters, and development teams in embracing user-centered design methodologies, fostering effective collaboration to deliver business value aligned with user needs.

• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, product owners, engineers, and other stakeholders.

• Communicate design concepts and rationale clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Develop and articulate a comprehensive UX strategy that aligns with the company's overall vision and goals.

• Elevate the overall maturity level of UX practices, consistently monitoring usability performance across digital platforms.

• Provide training and guidance to team members, ensuring they possess the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver outstanding user experiences.

• Demonstrate expertise in designing user experiences for various devices across diverse digital environments

You will be working for Core Platform Area SW & Diagnostics situated in Digital & IT.

Our objectives are to deliver value in two value flows called Vehicle SW Factory (VSF) and Vehicle SW Deploy (VSD).

VSFs focus is to enable with methods and tools (CI/CD/CT including calibration) to create embedded software with time to market - in Product Development, Manufacturing and Aftermarket for all Volvo Groups business areas.

VSDs focus is to enable update of vehicle software in a secure way – In Product Development, Manufacturing, Aftermarket and Customer context for all Volvo Groups business areas. This is where your primary focus will be.
